The Website Quote Request Form for Window Cleaning Companies
A lot of window cleaning leads arrive at the worst possible time: when you are on a ladder. A phone call goes to voicemail, the caller tries the next company, and the lead is gone. A quote request form on your website catches the people who would rather type than talk, at any hour, and hands you what you need to quote without a phone call.
Catching Leads While You Work
In From Approved Estimate to Scheduled Window Cleaning: What Happens After the Yes we followed a quote all the way to the van. This article goes back to the very beginning: the first contact. WindowBossPro includes a website request form. Prospects fill it out on your site, and the request lands in Form Responses in the office, ready for someone to follow up and quote.
What to Ask on the Form
The best request form is short enough to finish and detailed enough to quote from. A good set of questions for window cleaning:
- Name, phone and email. The basics.
- Service address. So you can look at the house and check the drive.
- What do you need? Outside only, inside & outside, or inside only.
- How many stories? 1, 2 or 3+.
- Roughly how many windows? Customers guess, but a guess helps.
- Extras. Screens, tracks, hard-water spots.
- One time or regular service?
- Anything we should know? Gate codes, dogs, skylights, construction.
Do not make every field required. A lead with a name and phone number is still a lead. The rest you can get with one text.
Ask for Photos
The single most useful thing a prospect can send is photos of each side of the house. They let you quote from the office. If your form cannot take photos, ask in your first follow-up text: “Thanks for the request. Can you text us a photo of the front and back of the house? We'll send a quote today.” Quoting from photos is covered in Counting Windows for an Estimate: From the Curb, From Photos or on a Walkthrough.
Where Requests Go: Form Responses
Every request from your website lands in Form Responses in WindowBossPro. That is one inbox for website leads, separate from your email and phone. Someone in the office checks it every day, ideally a few times a day in busy season.
From there, the flow is simple. Look at the request, text the prospect with any questions, build the estimate from your service list and send it for online approval. Once approved, the estimate becomes scheduled services.
Request Form vs Sign-Up Form
WindowBossPro has two website forms, and they do different jobs:
- The request form is for people who want a quote. Their house is unknown, so you price it first.
- The sign-up form is for people ready to buy. They choose services and pricing on the form, and their card is captured with the sign-up.
Most window cleaners use both. The request form handles custom homes and anything unusual. The sign-up form handles simpler offers, like a standard storefront plan or a straightforward outside-only package. The sign-up form has its own article: The Website Sign-Up Form: Window Cleaning Services, Pricing and a Card Captured.
Answer Fast
A request form only works if someone answers it. A prospect who fills out a form is often filling out two or three. The first company to respond with a real number has an advantage. Even if you cannot quote right away, send a text acknowledging the request and saying when the quote will come.
Two-way texting from the office keeps the conversation in one place. Replies come back to the office, not to someone's personal phone, so anyone on the team can pick up the thread.
Put the Form Where People Look
Link the request form from the main button on your website, your service pages and your social media profiles. Put the link in your email signature and on your van. If someone sees your truck in the neighborhood and searches for you, the form should be one tap from your home page.
Add a line on the form telling people what happens next: “We'll text you within one business day with a quote or a couple of questions.” Setting that expectation keeps prospects from filling out three more forms while they wait.
Every Lead in One Place
A quote request form catches the leads you would miss on the ladder and gives you most of what you need to quote. Keep it short, ask the window questions that matter, and answer every request quickly. For the rest of the quoting flow in WindowBossPro, see the window cleaning estimate software page.
